LIFE, Weekend

Spring Bucket List

Spring has FINALLY come to the south. I know I said that before, but I was tricked. We had what they call blackberry weather, when it warms up and then cools back down. We were in a freeze warning over this past weekend. Freeze! In April! In Georgia!

A disgrace.

Still, Josh and I braved the cooler weather to visit a baseball game and see the Rome Braves (a local minor league team) play on Saturday. Friends of ours had a suite for the game, so we knew we’d be inside and around beer and food, so we were totally in for that.

Then, on Sunday, Josh and I went to The Painted Pin with our friends Mace and Isabel for some bowling and food. We had a great time, and I bowled about as well as I normally do: starting strong, having some problems, and ending randomly good. I got two strikes in my last frame. Who knows.

I’m looking forward to TRUE spring weather. I’m ready for the weather to warm up and give me some light at the end of our long winter tunnel. I mean, we live in the south, and we’re from New Mexico so even our winters are mild, but anything below 70 is cold for me! 😉

Thinking of all the things I want to do this spring made me put together a nice spring bucket list for myself, so I can enjoy the season to the fullest. I like lists and charts, so a bucket list is right up my alley!

-See a baseball game
-Go kayaking
-Plant some herbs in my little outdoor planter
-Go to the farmer’s market
-Have a bbq
-Clean out my closet and donate the clothes
-Open the windows more often
-Take the dogs on hikes
-Go strawberry picking
-Then make all the strawberry things
-Go to an outdoor festival

That seems like a strong list for a couple of months, and then I’ll be ready for a summer bucket list! Hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather as much as I am!
