I just finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and it was SO good. My husband is a big Murakami fan, and it feels a little like magical realism, which I love (Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my jam). Big fan!
Now, I’m reading The Immortalists and it’s very good! Different, but still really well written. I’ll do a review when I’m done.
Up next on deck is Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, which I’ve heard amazing things about.
I also just heard some amazing news that the Celeste Ng book Little Fires Everywhere is going to be brought to the screen by Reese Witherspoon, and I’m STOKED. I loved that book! Highly recommend.
Okay, I’m like, the last person on the planet to be into these two shows but I’m SO into Riverdale and The Crown. I’ve finished what they have on Netflix, and I’m so ready for them to add more episodes. Can we agree that Cole Sprouse is like the cutest guy on TV right now? He has that sweet, slightly sarcastic thing but the way he loves Betty makes me all heart*eyes*emoji at it. Side note: I’ve watched a few episodes going on right now but I’m not completely caught up so don’t spoil it for me yet!! I know my heart*eyes*emoji will probably be all crying*eyes*emoji soon and I’m not ready for it.
Tonight, Josh and I are going to see Red Sparrow and I’m excited! We have Movie Pass and we’re OBSESSED. Are you a Movie Pass fan? I’ll do a review on it soon because it’s the best thing ever. I saw Black Panther over the weekend and it was SO good. Go see it if you haven’t yet!
I’ve been all about the Black Panther soundtrack. Ryan Coogler (The director) worked with Kendrick Lamar for the soundtrack, and they came up with an amazing story. Plus, I love Kendrick Lamar so it’s a total win-win-win for me.
What about you? Anything new to watch, read or listen to over the weekend?
